About Brandon K. Hill

Brandon Katayama Hill is the founder and CEO of btrax, a cross-cultural branding and marketing agency helping clients navigate the U.S., Japanese and Chinese markets. Born to an American father and Japanese mother, Hill grew up in Sapporo before moving to the U.S. to attend school and starting btrax in 2004 after graduating from San Francisco State University.

Hill has built btrax into the top tier Asian market agency in North America with a rapidly growing China market division. The firm's extensive client list includes innovative leaders such as Expedia, Panda Express, Glassdoor, Bonobos, Itochu, DeNA, CyberAgent and Calbee.

Hill regularly writes for Japanese media with articles appearing in Web Design Expert. He is the founder of SF Japan Night in collaboration with SF New Tech, the largest startup event in the United States. A seasoned expert on Asian web trends, he has been invited to speak at such events as UC Berkeley Haas School's Asian Business Conference and JTPA (Japanese Technology Professional Association).

A visible presence in the Asian business community, Hill is an active member of the Japan Society, serves on the board of Fukuoka Ruby and has advised the Keizai Society.
