Chinese Business Development Assistant

In A Nutshell

Develop and oversee business opportunities and processes for the U.S.-China and China-U.S. markets.

Your responsibilies

• Work with the marketing team and project managers to help attract China-related projects
• Asisst in researching, developing and implementing business model for US-China market
• Work from existing contact database and other online media outlets to find relationships, including regular business meetings outside the btrax office
• Help create and refine project proposals, contracts and service packages
• Help qualify leads and shepherd through to contract closing to meet monthly/quarterly revenue goals
• Work along side Business Developement to develop marketing materials to support Chinese business
• Create and suggest topics for weekly or bi-weekly blog postings and social media contents
• Help track online signals to identify opportunities metrics to clearly define client results

We need

BA/BS degree or equivalent 4 years’ worth of higher education
Open to recent grads land MBA students looking for long-term growth opportunities
Part-time may be possible for qualified candidates
Strong knowledge of American and Chinese markets and native level Mandarin - our team is 95% bi-lingual or tri-lingual
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Ability to quickly learn web strategy and apply to clients business objectives
People oriented and experience detailed creating proposals
Excellent verbal skills and engaging writing style
Team members must be able to effectively handle multiple projects on tight deadline
We do NOT require a specific number of years of work experience in the web industry

Bonus skills

Ability to read, write, and speak Cantonese or Japanese
Active organization membership or event planning related to China business or culture
Experience working in Los Angeles, New York City, Hawaii, Tokyo, Shangai or China
Direct connection to brand level companies (either worked there or have friends there)

Everything else

Punctual and consistent attendance is required
Working remotely from home occasionally is possible after a 3 month evaluation period
Willingness and ability to work non-standard business hours, such as nights and weekends, on an infrequent basis
