We are looking for a Interactive Designer to join our team!
SUMMARY
Responsible for all look and feel aspects of websites btrax produces including UI design, Flash interactive animation, icon design, logo design, and other visual materials. Needs to understand clients' business goals for executing best practice in terms of visual design.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Develop UI prototypes - visually realistic application storyboards.
2. Provide design leadership.
3. Work with clients to understand and leverage their design standards, templates, style-sheets as required to create working prototypes of customized web applications.
4. Work with sales, marketing and project manager to rapidly adapt and evolve the base web application functionality.
5. Work with project management to develop scenarios, user personas and generate use cases as deliverables to engineering.
6. Support customer beta deployments including QA testing process, usability testing and document feedback for product enhancements.
7. Function as liaison between Design and Development team to ensure accurate implementation of specified design and functionality.
In addition to these typical responsibilities, performs other duties as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- User Interface design skills.
- Strong conceptual design, collaborative, and organizational skills.
- Dedication to detail and deadlines.
- The ability to effectively negotiate interactions between designers and engineers.
- Enjoys leading and motivating others and being part of a fun-loving, hard working team.
- Extensive Flash development experience - with a heavy emphasis on ActionScript 2.0.
- XHTML/CSS ability to hand code.
- PHP and XML experience a plus.
- Experience developing brand strategy and guidelines a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in designing extremely usable, consumer-oriented web-based interfaces.
- Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
- Japanese skill is a big plus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily works in an office environment. Approximately 85% of time spent on the job involves use of a computer. Must be able to use standard office equipment such as copiers, faxes, mailing machinery.
OTHER INFORMATION
Employees must adhere to all applicable btrax policies and procedures. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Willingness and ability to work non-standard business hours, such as nights, on an as-needed basis, is required. Employees must be able to cope effectively with deadlines and multiple demands.
